Another academic year has crept up: after this cool-but-now-hot summer, a warm EES welcome to returning and new EES people and the class of 2013. Drop in to tell us about your summer and yourself! And send along good field photos to Frank P, Peter Z, or Laura.

EES had our annual welcome-back picnic on Sunday, August 30th at Mauch Chunk Lake Park, near Jim Thorpe.

2009 Foster-Hewett Lectures

March 18 to 20, EES hosted the 2009 D. Foster-Hewett Lecture Series; this year's topic was energy. A schedule and info is available.

May 2009: EES department field trip to Italy!!

In May 2009, EES sent its annual departmental field trip to Italy.

Let the games begin! Construction underway on new EES home...

Excavation is well underway on the new STEPS building, which will house all EES people, labs, and offices, as well as other faculty and students of the Environmental Initiative, and undergraduate teaching labs for biological sciences and chemistry. We're excited!
